Elaine Tsai is a multi-disciplinary artist and writer based in Los Angeles and Taiwan, working across painting/drawing, animation, graphic design, video, sculpture, and the literary arts. Her practice explores memory, identity, and creativity through visual, literary, and academic work. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design on full scholarship and earned her MA in English (ALM) from Harvard Extension School, graduating magna cum laude. She also studied performance in a summer program at Brown University and classical and contemporary art in Italy. Elaine’s work has been exhibited internationally, and she has taught art, English, and humanities to K–12 students as well as adult learners. She is currently developing new projects for publication, with a focus on material process, narrative, and interdisciplinary research.
